The boot is the mandatory starting stake each player puts into the pot before cards are dealt. In highstakes rooms the boot is set higher than standard tables, so the opening pot is larger from the first deal.

A blind player bets without looking at their cards. The bet is half the current stake compared to a seen player, but winning blind earns a bigger share relative to the wager placed.

A sideshow lets two seen players compare cards privately. The player with the weaker hand must fold. Sideshows are only available once a minimum number of active players remain at the table.

Trail, also called Three of a Kind, is three cards of the same rank. It sits at the top of the hand rankings in Teen Patti — only a higher Trail beats it, so three Aces is the strongest possible hand.

A Pure Sequence is three consecutive cards of the same suit — for example, seven, eight, nine of hearts. It ranks second only to a Trail in standard Teen Patti hand order.

Pot Limit caps the maximum bet at the current size of the pot. In a highstakes room the pot grows faster because boot amounts and raises are larger, so pot-limit rounds can reach significant totals quickly.
